Xinfrared: What Determines "X-Clear" of Thermal Imaging

by Cheryl Cui 10 Nov 2022

When people first come to an Xinfrared thermal imager, they will be surprised that the thermal image can be so clear, "X-Clear". Why do Xinfrared products have such high definition?

InfiRay® masters the world's leading thermal imaging technology.

In the heart of each Xinfrared thermal imaging camera, there is an infrared sensor engraved with "InfiRay®". This is the world's most advanced infrared detector and is independently developed by InfiRay®. It has a distinctive high sensitivity to perceive farther and subtler heat sources.

InfiRay® R&D team is composed of senior engineers in the fields of integrated circuits, electronic materials, MEMS sensors, packaging and testing, and image algorithms. Through continuous researches in VOx materials and MEMS sensors, InfiRay® has mastered the core technologies of high-performance thin films and integrated processes.

InfiRay® has 1760 patents in total. These are the keys to the high sensitivity of InfiRay® infrared detectors.

Users are very surprised by the long battery life of Xinfrared thermal imaging cameras. This is because InfiRay® sensor has another important feature of ultra-low power consumption.

20 million transistors are working quietly.

There are as many as 20 million transistors on a high-end detector. Usually the larger the circuit scale, the more modules, the more complex the timing, the higher the power consumption.

InfiRay® 384×288 infrared detectors consume only 70mW under the working conditions of 60Hz digital output, while a typical similar product from a well-known company in the industry is 220mW.

Internal Thermal Imaging Algorithm.

The thermal sensor captures heat from the object and converts it into a signal to form a thermal image. Due to the physical lack of the thermal lens and the unevenness of the image, the integrated algorithm will enhance the original thermal image to realize the visibility and feasibility of object recognition. Besides, it will compensate for the blind pixels that appear in the imaging process. Therefore, the final thermal image will show more contrast and completeness. Matrix III exclusive patented algorithm developed by InfiRay® can not only realize the above-mentioned functions but also realize detail and definition processing based on thermal imaging.
